| My daughter got a pair of toddler screw back earrings for Christmas from here. They were not cheap and cost over $50. Feb.10th, after one earring back came undone 3 times, and was close to being lost....I found it was not screwing undone, rather pulled right off. I called GEMOLOGICA's customer service, and was told by their Customer Service Manager Susan, that it purchased Dec 15th (it was Christmas gift), and they only accept returns within 30 days. I explained it was a Christmas gift, so we did not receive it until Christmas. She told me that is their policy, and she was not going to argue with me. She told me my Sister , the one who bought the earrings for my daughter, should have Tested them before giving them to my daughter! How unhygienic is that! I begged her to just please send a replacement earring back, I just needed a screw back. She said it would cost me $15 - $20 for an earring back (with shipping). She refused to stand behind the product they sell. She refused to let me speak to another manager, and said she handled all the customer services issues.By now, she was raising her voice at me, that was the store policy, and if I didn't like the 30 return policy...that's my problem. I nicely asked her to please stop raising her voice at me...to which she hung up on me. I called back, and she did not answer the phone. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. They charge a log of $$ for CHEAP JEWELERY, that does not even hold up after 6 weeks of wear! They were rude off the bat , and did not care about customer service. Please note, I also did have my receipt and shipping information, so that was not an issue. Apparently GEMOLOGICA has not realized that customers that they burn , will leave reviews. It was so silly, they should put a .50 earring back in an envelope and keep a customer for life. Instead, they bullied their customer, and I will tell everyone of the horrible service and cheap jewelry I received. |
