| I wish I had seen Sheryl's advice before I ordered from this company (and seen all the other online complaints I just read about them, too.) They have the worst customer service I've ever experienced from a catalogue company. I ordered a wine decanter and glasses from them. The decanter had an obvious flaw in it so I requested a replacement. I was told they would send me a shipping label for me to return the flawed decanter to them. I did receive a new decanter, but no shipping label to return the flawed one. After waiting a week, I called to find out where it was. I was told it would take 10-14 days to receive it! Why? Two weeks later I sent an e-mail complaining and asking where was the shipping label. They never responded. I finally shipped the flawed decanter back (insured) paying the $10 myself, which was stupid of me. I should have just thrown it in the recycling bin. Just received my credit card statement and - of course - there is no credit for my return. After reading of others' experiences trying to get a response from Viva Terre, I'm not even going to bother to call them or e-mail them for my $10 credit. It's not worth the aggravation. I'll simply never do business with this company again and will warn anybody I know to not do business with them. They are ripping off customers under the guise of being an environmentally conscious company. |

| This company -s. Search the web and read other reviews before you buy from them, if you dare. I ordered a gift for a client in December 2007 in advance of the order deadline for it to be received in time for the holidays. I e-mailed them twice about the status of the order as I did not get a message saying it had been shipped or hear from my client that it had been received. Nobody answered my e-mails, so I called twice. The first time I was told it would be shipped in 24-48 hours. On Dec. 23 I was told it had been shipped on the 17th and would be delivered the next day (the 24th). Both times the "customer service" people were lying. The second time they actually gave me a nonexistent tracking number. The item was finally delivered on January 2. Then, there was supposed to be a rebate on this item and they refused my request for it because they said it had to be postmarked no later than Jan. 13. They sent my request back to me showing it was stamped as received Jan. 11! Totally incompetent, and I can't get over their lying to me -- twice. Inexcusable, and no response to my complaints. Of course. Save your money and your blood pressure -- shop elsewhere. |
